Pennsylvanians joined Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson to learn more about how new telemedicine programs are expanding access to quality care, thanks to local health insurance providers like Highmark and UPMC.

Local healthcare professionals came together at St. Francis University in Loretto, Penn. to discuss the use of telemedicine to improve care in rural communities. Rep. Thompson joined with representatives from local health insurance providers Highmark and UPMC to share innovations with video calling that connect patients to physicians, even when access to a hospital or medical center is limited.
